Step aside, McDonald's. These chicken strips will beat your McNuggets to a taste test any day. No grease, no oils, no artificial mystery meat. Just perfectly "fried" chicken strips that will make you kick your old "dieting" mindset to the curb!
INGREDIENTS:
boneless, skinless chicken breast
Kodiak Cakes pancake mix (approx 1 cup)*
1-2 large eggs
garlic powder
all-seasoning
*I did not use any measurements during this preparation and used ingredients as needed. However, you could measure/weigh your ingredients in order to include them into your macros.
STEP 1:
Slice chicken breast into long strips. Thinner chicken breasts will cook faster and have more of an authentic chicken strip texture.
In one small bowl, whisk eggs together.
In another small bowl, mix Kodiak cakes and seasonings.
STEP 2:
Coat chicken breasts first in the egg, and then into Kodiak mix until fully covered.
STEP 4:
Set air fryer on 'chicken wing' setting, and let the air fryer work its magic! Check on chicken strips half way through cook time and turn over for even cooking.
